The Charles Allis Art Museum is an early 20th-century mansion located in Milwaukee’s densely populated East Side neighborhood. The museum does not have onsite parking. Street parking is available, but can be limited due to the densely populated area. Please be aware of posted city parking regulations.
Public Transit (ridemcts.com)
From the North
Milwaukee County Transit bus routes 30 and 30x stop at Royall Place. Walk a half block east on Royall Place to the museum entrance. The Gold Line Express stops at Brady Street. Walk one block north to Royall Place. Turn right and the museum entrance is in the middle of the block on the left.
From the South
Milwaukee County Transit bus routes 30 and 30x stop on Prospect Avenue across from the museum at Royall Place. The Gold Line Express stops one block south of the museum at Brady Street.
From the West
There are two options. Milwaukee County Transit bus route 21 stops at North Avenue and Cambridge Avenue. Turn right onto Cambridge Avenue and walk four blocks south. Turn left on Royall Place. The museum is four blocks to the east, on the left. The total walk is just over a half-mile. Or, take route 21 to North Avenue and Farwell Avenue. Take a right around the corner onto Farwell, and transfer to routes 30 or 30X. Stop at Royall Place. Cross the street and walk half a block east. The museum is on your left.
