"Wisconsin Labor: A Contemporary Portrait"

September 23-November 6, 2011
Photographers Tim Abler, chair of the Visual Arts Department at Stritch, and Dick Blau of Milwaukee, David Heberlein of River Falls, J. Shimon and J. Lindemann of Manitowoc, and Jamie Young of Madison were commissioned by the Wisconsin Arts Board in 2007 to create a statewide "portrait" of contemporary labor.

Free. The opening reception is Sept. 23 from 5-8 p.m. and includes a talk, "Milwaukee Labor History: Struggle, Strikes, and Survival" by Michael Gordon at 5:30 p.m. There will also be a reception on Gallery Night, Oct. 21 from 5-8 p.m.
