The group was founded by two brothers from Milwaukee, Nick Waraksa (Piano, Accordian, Vocals) and Jordan Waraksa (Violin, Guitar, Vocals). Later joined by Chuck Lawton of Grafton (Bass, Guitar, Vocals) and Benjamin Schaefer of Cedarburg (Percussion), the group has released two albums and received recognition at local and international film festivals.

Cedarburg native Wolfgang Schaefer is the brother of The Vitrolum Republic percussionist Ben Schaefer. "This Milwaukee resident plays the lonely guitar and sings with the true tired voice of the open plain troubadour...” -Slowcoustic.com
