    Hannah White - Violin Prodigy

    A student of the violin since the age of 6, Hannah’s accolades and honors would be impressive for any adult musician…however Hannah is only 12 years old! The winner of the 2012 MYSO Senior Symphony Concerto Competition, Hannah is entering her third year as a merit scholarship recipient and member of the Music Institute of Chicago's (MIC) Academy Program for gifted pre-college musicians conducted by Roland Vamos and James Setapan....

    A student of the violin since the age of 6, Hannah’s accolades and honors would be impressive for any adult musician…however Hannah is only 12 years old! The winner of the 2012 MYSO Senior Symphony Concerto Competition, Hannah is entering her third year as a merit scholarship recipient and member of the Music Institute of Chicago's (MIC) Academy Program for gifted pre-college musicians conducted by Roland Vamos and James Setapan. Hannah has been the youngest member in the orchestra all three years.

    Hannah was a member of the Waukesha Area Youth Orchestra (WAYO) Sinfonettia for three years and the WAYO Chamber group for two years under the direction of Timothy Cobb. Hannah has been a member of the Milwaukee Youth Symphony Orchestra (MYSO) String Orchestra West, Philharmonia, and Senior Symphony.

    Hannah’s most recent accomplishments include placing second in the Society of American Musicians Music Competition Primary Division in 2011, and Second Place in the Junior Division in 2012. In December of 2011, Hannah participated in the Midwest Young Artists and Walgreens National Concerto Competition and received First Prize as Category Winner and also received Overall Winner in her division.

    Jonah White is 15 and has been playing the piano for seven years. Jonah is currently studying at the Music Institute of Chicago with artist faculty member Brenda Huang. In 2011 Jonah won a Gold Prize at the Northwest Suburban Music Teachers Association and a Silver Prize at the Chicago Area Music Teachers Association. In 2012 he received First Prize in the Frank Stehlik's Musichorale Music Competition in Illinois.

    Joshua White is 13 and has been playing the piano for five years. Joshua is currently studying with Music Institute of Chicago's artist faculty member Brenda Huang. Recently in 2011, he won the Silver Prize at the Chicago Area Music Teachers Association, and in 2012 received First Place at the 32nd Annual Roberta Savler Piano Contest in Chicago.
