KL Communications is pleased to announce collaborations with the Green Design Center® and the Charles Allis / Villa Terrace Art Museums for the 2012 Milwaukee Fine Furnishings Show. The Green Design Center is a source of environmentally friendly home improvement and building products. While the products available reduce the negative impact on the environment, they are also health conscious. From AFM Safecoat paints and finishes, EcoFusion Flooring, and American Clay plasters to Interface FLOR carpeting, Naturepedic crib mattresses and Hunter Douglas window treatments, the Green Design Center offers a wide variety of products to support healthy and sustainable environments. Andrew Pace and his team will be on-site during the Fine Furnishings Show to share product knowledge and advice for homeowners looking for healthy, sustainable solutions to their home improvement and building needs. “For many years, we have supplied materials to some of the biggest names in the sustainable furniture industry such as el:furniture, Wiggers Custom, Cisco Brothers, and Q Collection. With attendees ranging from furniture makers and interior designers to homeowners and art aficionados, the Fine Furnishings Show is the perfect venue to display the healthy, common sense materials that we offer at the Green Design Center,” says Pace. This year also marks the beginning of a partnership with the Charles Allis / Villa Terrace Museums. “The Charles Allis Art Museum and the Villa Terrace Decorative Arts Museum have great decorative arts collections and are dedicated to featuring the work of local decorative artists,” describes John Sterr, marketing manager for the museums. “We are excited about partnering with the Fine Furnishings Show this year. It is another opportunity to help celebrate contemporary decorative artists and provides a venue that helps them reach a wider audience.” The museum will offer an exhibit of unique chairs designed by local artists, a sneak peek for their annual “Chairity Auction.” The chairs at the show will be auctioned during the museums’ summer 2013 event.
