    Based on the popular novel by Garland Roark. Wayne is an adventurous ship captain who becomes a rival with an East Indies magnate over sunken pearls on a South Sea island. When he sinks the ship, the Red Witch, both men fight desperately to retrieve its sunken treasure. Complications truly arise when the magnate marries the love of Wayne’s life. Beautiful location cinematography enhances the romance of the story.

    The Movie Time film series is shown every other Wednesday. These films are presented by leading Milwaukee film historian, Dale Kuntz. Special choices from his collection of classic films from the 30s and 40s are shown on 16mm, reel-to-reel film. Most of his films are not available on DVD, so the audience has a rare opportunity to see these films in their original glory. Prior to each screening, Dale facinates the audience with his vast knowledge of film history and gives the inside scoop on each movie, including bizarre details about the stars and clues to help the auidence spot little oddities that ended up in the film instead of on the cutting room floor.
