    Christmas in Connecticut
    1945 / 101min
Barbara Stanwyck, Dennis Morgan, Sidney Greenstreet, S.Z. Sakall, Reginald Gardiner

By popular demand, one of the most charming and delightful Christmas movies of all time. The ever versatile Stanwyck in one of her best comical roles. She is a famous New York magazine writer, specializing in home and food articles, which she knows nothing about! When her editor wants her to entertain a war hero, she has to come up with a farm, a husband, a baby and a cook to cover all of her articles. When she falls in love with the war hero, how is she going to tell him the truth? Come and enjoy your first Christmas present. Happy Holidays from Dale and the staff at the Charles Allis Art Museum.

The Movie Time film series is shown every other Wednesday. These films are presented by leading Milwaukee film historian, Dale Kuntz. Special choices from his collection of classic films from the 30s and 40s are shown on 16mm, reel-to-reel film. Most of his films are not available on DVD, so the audience has a rare opportunity to see these films in their original glory. Prior to each screening, Dale facinates the audience with his vast knowledge of film history and gives the inside scoop on each movie, including bizarre details about the stars and clues to help the auidence spot little oddities that ended up in the film instead of on the cutting room floor.
