April 9, 2013 - How Did Life Rebound After Earth's Largest Extinction?
Dr. Margaret L. Fraiser, UW-Milwaukee Department of Geosciences
The largest mass extinction Earth ever experienced occurred 250 million years ago and killed 90% of species on land and in the ocean. The culprit was elevated atmospheric CO2. How did life bounce back from the brink? What can we learn about the future of climate change on Earth by studying ancient events?
