    In conjunction with SGC International’s Print MKE printmaking conference, the Charles Allis Art Museum is pleased to present Michael Kutzer: Etchings and Woodcuts March 20 through Sunday, May 12. This solo exhibition featuring prints by the German born artist and Bay View resident, Michael Kutzer will showcase his talent and ability to create prints that are visually captivating. Consisting of prints from his series: Views of the Lakeshore, The Invisible Animals of Seminary Woods, Anholt Landscapes and Punch Theater, this retrospective exhibition will display many fascinating and thought-provoking landscapes, creatures and characters.

    The museum will host an opening reception with the artist Friday, March 22 from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m., with a members' only preview from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. More information about Michael Kutzer can be found at his website www.kutzer-art.com.

    Founded in 1973, the Southern Graphics Council International or SGCI is committed to informing their membership about issues and processes concerning original prints, drawings, book arts, and hand-made paper, and the public appreciation of art. Their annual conference draws attendees from around the world and across the country. The Milwaukee Institute of Art and Design and the Peck School of the Arts at UW-Milwaukee are hosting the Print MKE from March 20-23. Check out www.printmke2013.org for more information.
