Between Two Worlds

The Master Singers of Milwaukee and their Artistic Director, Eduardo Garcia-Novelli, along with their guests, Carthage Choir, proudly present “Between Two Worlds” a celebration of the beautiful choral music from Slovenia – a musical culture known for its rich and complex harmonies. Performances will take place on Saturday, March 18^th at North Shore Congregational Church in Fox Point (7:30 pm) and Sunday, March 19^th at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Brookfield (3:00 pm).

Under the direction of a talented young guest conductor from Slovenia, Alenka Podpečan, the concert will feature choral arrangements of Slovenian folk music and selections by exceptional Slovenian composers. In addition, the choirs will perform more traditional music by Bruckner, Monteverdi and Gallus – composers from the countries bordering Slovenia which have strongly influenced their choral tradition.
