Great Lakes Community Conservation Corp

The Great Lakes Community Conservation Corps (Great Lakes CCC) is a local non-profit
organization that educates and trains young adults to complete public lands conservation and
community infrastructure redevelopment projects in southeastern Wisconsin. It serves as the
modern-day successor to the Civilian Conservation Corps (CCC) and the Works Progress
Administration (WPA) of the 1930s, and was conceived by an assembly of 25 CCC alumni at the
75th anniversary event of the Civilian Conservation Corps in 2008 to address regional social and
physical challenges in southeastern Wisconsin.
