The Ghastly History of the East Side Tour takes you to explore the East side’s fascinating, extraordinary, and sometimes grisly history. Our first stop is where teams of men under the influence of strong liquor and high pay brought cartloads of bodies to be buried in shallow graves day after day, followed by other notorious sites.
On the Historic Food Ward food tour we’ll stop at five eateries- three for food and two for dessert. We’ll sample such signature dishes as sushi, bruschetta, eggplant fries, calamari, and empanadas. Desserts may be Salted caramel or whiskey ice cream or designer chocolate truffles. As we ride between restaurants we’ll learn about the people, events, and architecture that make the Historic Third Ward the epicenter of Milwaukee’s downtown.
