New Berlin Historical Park is a public park with a gazebo and picnic tables. The park contains six historic buildings furnished with period appropriate artifacts owned by the New Berlin Historical Society. The buildings are open for tours during the Society’s Open House events, or for tour groups by prearrangement. However, information signs attached to building exteriors can be accessed any time.
The New Berlin Historical Museum is also located in the park. It contains exhibits relating to New Berlin’s agricultural history. Displays of military, police, and voluntary fire department history are located here. The museum is also open during Open House events and can be toured by appointment.
The Historical Park is located in the area known as the Prospect Settlement District. The District also contains the historic Freewill Baptist Church, also open during Open House events, and the Weston Antique Apple Orchard. The land and farm buildings are city owned but the orchard operation is a private business.
