Villa Terrace Decorative Arts Museum

Overlooking Lake Michigan, this Italian Renaissance-style villa was designed by architect David Adler in 1923. Originally the residence of Lloyd Smith of the A.O. Smith Corporation and his family, the Museum features fine and decorative arts dating from the 15th through the 18th centuries and wrought-iron masterpieces by Cyril Colnik. The Terrace d’Luna overlooks Lake Michigan and is a popular spot for weddings and functions of distinction. Below the terrace sits the Villa’s delightful Renaissance Garden. The museum’s Great Hall can accommodate a variety of events, especially during inclement weather. Changing exhibitions feature local and regional artists working in the decorative arts.
